The one year education Professional Bag Maker at Cursustassenmaken.nl is more intensive than the package of individual courses that you can follow with us. Theory and practice of the bagmaker's one year course program briefly include the following: different constructions and techniques are discussed, from 2D to 3D thinking and design, material knowledge in relation to design are discussed, as is PR and marketing, branding your own label as it goes to market, excursions to international trade fairs, meet & greet with leather suppliers & haberdashery companies, lectures by designers and bag designers who have their own (inter-)national label.

What is the one year course?
To become a master bagmaker you will make 14 bags, including the final assignment bag.
The one year course starts in September. Registration for this course closes on januari 15 2020
The program consists of 51 days of 6 hours each, excluding a half-hour break. An average of 8 hours per week homework must be taken into account.
The excursions to (inter) national fairs and events are added, as are the lectures from experts.
If you have successfully completed the one year program, you will receive the diploma of the Master Bag Maker.

Cursustassenmaken.nl is recognized as a professional training institute for short term education and registered by the CRKBO.

Days and time?
The days of the one year training starting in September 2019 are on Mondays from 9.30-15.30 hrs, excluding a half-hour break.

The course does not include materials such as leather and haberdashery: average costs for a bag are approximately 65.00 euros

You do not have to own an industrial sewing machine or scale machine at home, you do not have to buy them because you can work on your bags in Studio Mrs. Rosehip for 12.50 euros per hour (excl. 21% VAT and by appointment) and use the facilities - sewing machines, scales machines, belt cutter, filtering machine and various tools outside the days of the course.

We also visit national and international trade fairs, go on an excursion to leather suppliers, tell experts about how to put your brand on the market (lectures) and get design lectures. Travel expenses of foreign visits are optional and not included in the fare, as well as travel expenses within the Netherlands. Lectures are free for the students of the annual training courses. These hours do not fall in the timetable.
